Bryan

Dad - Manager - Front Desk

WHAT IS YOUR SPECIALTY?
Customer service. I love taking care of our clients, making them feel good about their Frenchy’s experience. I will bend over backwards to help when they visit us or call for an appointment.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE.
Even though I got a Bachelors Degree in Urban Planning from Cal Poly, when I graduated I immediately went into the fashion industry. I worked for a menswear retailer in Montrose, fell in love with the business, then purchased it for myself. I ran the business for nearly twenty years before closing it in 2009. Then I found my way to Frenchy’s.

DO YOU HAVE ANY OUTSIDE PROJECTS?
I write a lot. I have written a couple of novels-and a non-fiction book called Threadbare (available at Amazon.com) which is about the closing of my retail menswear store, and the challenges small businesses face today.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU'RE NOT AT WORK?
I read a lot of fiction, see a lot of movies, and listen to music all the time. I’m old enough to have lived through the classic rock, punk rock, new wave, grunge, rap/hip hop, and alternative stages of music, and I still listen to them all. I also listen to some country, jazz, and classical music.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PRODUCTS TO USE?
I love the calming affect and smell of Blue Oil. I wish I had known about Aveda’s Invati products prior to my hair falling out. I would have used them religiously and perhaps I would still have my hair.

DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL AWARDS OR RECOGNITIONS?
When I had my clothing store I was given the Business Achievement Award by the Montrose Shopping Park Association for “the outstanding qualities of imagination, customer service, and unique merchandising”.

WHY FRENCHY’S?
I guess it helps when your daughter owns the place. I don’t think that it’s a coincidence that I closed my store the same year that Lacey bought Frenchy’s. It was a perfect opportunity for me. What started as a part-time consulting role has evolved into a daily endeavor of helping my daughter with her vision. I feel blessed every day to be able to run Frenchy's with Lacey.

TELL US SOMETHING YOU WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU.
I would say that I published a book, but I just told you about it earlier.
