Jessica

Master Stylist

WHAT IS YOUR SPECIALTY?
As a child, my Mom used to let my sister and I earn extra money from her by giving her massages after a long day at work. It paid off down the road because now I give excellent scalp and hand massages.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE.
I studied Cosmetology at West Valley Occupational Center in Woodland Hills.

DO YOU HAVE ANY OUTSIDE PROJECTS?
I’ve done several shoots with the talented photographer Dannia Vega and makeup artist Liz Palacios for various promotions. Outside of the beauty industry, I am very active in support of animal rights.

WHY DID YOU GET INTO HAIR?
It was always an interest of mine–I loved to experiment on friends and myself, using techniques I would read about in magazines or online. When I was old enough to have a job, I spent most of my money in a salon, changing my cut/color every 3-4 weeks. I would also accompany my friends and siblings to their hair appointments just to observe. It wasn’t until later that I considered making a career out of my love for hair.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU’RE NOT DOING HAIR?
Spending time with my family, playing video games with my boyfriend, yoga, roller-skating, cooking, and beer-fueled Rock Band marathons with my closest friends.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PRODUCTS TO USE?
Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid and Be Curly Curl Enhancer.

WHY FRENCHY’S?
I fell in love with everything about Frenchy’s! It is truly a unique place that encourages individualism. Every single stylist is ridiculously talented. I am so proud to tell people that I work here and I feel so lucky to be a part of it.

TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF THAT NO ONE KNOWS.
The look I go for in my personal style is a tattooed Snow White/Winnie Cooper who grew up hating pants and doesn’t know the meaning of age appropriate attire.

TELL US SOMETHING YOU WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT YOU.
I am an extremely honest and genuine person who will never judge you, and I am constantly searching for the best in people.
